An aerial establishing shot is the opposite: high, slow, and shot to answer one question — where the property sits, what backs onto it, and what the street looks like from above. Aerial establishing coverage.
The shot that establishes. It goes at the front of a walkthrough because a viewer who has seen the street, the grade and the treeline reads every interior frame afterwards with a place to put it. On a corner lot, a walk-out basement or a property backing onto open ground, it is the frame that sells the thing the interiors cannot mention.
It also does a job interiors cannot for amenity spaces: a courtyard with a pool at one end and a fire pit at the other is one photograph from above and four from the ground. Usually flown on the same visit as the ground coverage and delivered inside the walkthrough edit, or as its own clip at $200.
